Two studies by Assoc.Prof. Oktay Algın have been published. Feasibility of 3D-SPACE sequence is investigated on the evaluation of patients with hydrocephalus in these studies. As a result, 3D-SPACE sequence is proven to be a right, fast and efficient method of diagnosing hydrocephalus. The sequence is also proved  to be efficient on  assessing the condition  after  treatment(shunt or ETV operations).

Feasibility of 3D-SPACE technique on the assessment of CSF was first shown by Dr. Algın 6 years ago on animal experiments. Studies about applications of this sequence  on various fields has been done since then in UMRAM. Please find more details in the links below:
